RAMAN Microscopy

Nomadic Raman Microscope

The NomadicTM Raman Microscope comes with a choice of three excitation that include 532, 785, 1064 nm. It is also possible to use custom lasers as well. At present the nomadic line is the only Raman microscope on the market today simultaneously equipped with 532, 785, 1064 nm sources that enables the microscope to analyse from the visible region to NIR. With extended NIR excitation, fluorescence background signal can be minimized when Raman is measured from complex substrates. The Nomadic is equipped with dedicated spectrographs and detectors for each excitation wavelength ensuring optimal spectral coverage, resolution, and sensitivity, with no trade-offs or compromises. The Nomadic also features automated laser switching, motorized bilaterial slits, and ND filters for attenuating laser power. Coupled to a research grade optical microscope, the Nomadic can deliver confocal measurements with variable spatial resolution down to 1um or less micrometer with unprecedented flexibility and versatility.

Key Features:

  • Available in 532, 785, 1064nm or custom excitation wavelengths

Moving Lab Raman Microscope

The latest product innovation in our Raman microspectroscopy line is the MovingLab, a low cost portable instrument that can be bought out into the field or used for mobile forensics work. The MovingLab can be configured with any wavelength of choice, standard are 532, 785, 1064 nm or custom.

The NomadicTM and MovingLabTM are run by BaySpec’s Micro 20/20 software that has an intuitive, streamlined user interface and can output data in .txt, .csv, or .spc format. Baseline correction function is intelligently built in, which greatly facilities reduction in fluorescence interference and account for drift in background.

The MovingLab™ Series employs a highly efficient Volume Phase Grating (VPG®) as the spectral dispersion

Element and an ultra-sensitive CCD or InGaAs array detector as the detection element, thereby providing

high-speed parallel processing and continuous spectrum measurements. As an input, the device uses direct coupled optics arrangement for ultra-high throughput. A cost-effective microscope is enabled with easy

handling of microscopic samples.
